Lance Armstrong (born Lance Edward Gunderson September 18, 1971) is an American professional road racing cyclist for UCI ProTeam Team Astana. He won the Tour de France a record-breaking seven consecutive years, from 1999 to 2005. He is the only individual to win seven times, having broken the previous record of five wins, shared by Miguel Indurain (consecutive) and Bernard Hinault, Eddy Merckx and Jacques Anquetil. He has survived testicular cancer, a germ cell tumor that metastasized to his brain and lungs, in 1996. His cancer treatments included brain and testicular surgery and extensive chemotherapy, and his prognosis was originally poor.

Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980, Whiston, Merseyside) is an English football player. He is the captain of Liverpool, where he wears the number 8 shirt. He has been called an influential and versatile midfielder, and is known for his long-range shots. He is usually employed in the “box-to-box” midfield role, although he has often been deployed as a right-sided midfielder, and occasionally as a second striker. During his career he has won the PFA Young Player of the Year, PFA Player of the Year, PFA Fans’ Player of the Year, European Midfielder of the Year, Premier League Player of the Year(twice), and UEFA Club Footballer of the Year. He has also been awarded the MBE for his contributions to football. He has been nominated three times for the FIFA World Player of the Year, in 2005, 2006 and 2007.
