Platinum Fitness Training Video

Watch the video clip below for clips of the gym and the type of training that goes on there. We are very fortunate that we are getting the opportunity to visit such a facility. If you look closely enough, you will even see me!

Platinum Fitness Training

Something special is happening for Fitness Buffs!!

Platinum Fitness Training is a new first class ‘Personal Training’ facility of which the owners have kindly offered to hold a seminar for some Woodfarm High pupils. This is a fantastic and rare opportunity of which selected children will get to learn and experience the fundamentals of strength and conditioning within their lives and the industry itself. Updates will be added shortly but in the meantime, I would encourage you to check out their website.

The Ageing Factor

Posted by mrparr on November 12, 2008

“The need to be in competition returns”

I recently read about Lance Armstrong’s intent to return to cycling. For those of you who don’t know (or if you’ve been living under a rock!), Lance Armstrong won the Tour de France cycling championship a record 7 times. What’s even more remarkable is he achieved such a feat after surviving testicular cancer.

Now at aged 37, Lance Armstrong plans to return to racing after 3 years. This got me thinking about the matter of age and performance. When or is there a correct time to retire?  Can ’older people’ realistically compete at the highest level? What do you think?
